LOS ANGELES BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE 5th ANNUAL LOS ANGELES BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL (LABRFF) WILL SHOWCASE OVER 40 BRAZILIAN FILMS LABRFF WILL ALSO CELEBRATE THE CENTENNIAL OF THE BRAZILIAN WRITER JORGE AMADO Los Angeles, July 8, 2012 – Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) will take place at Linwood Dunn Theater and The Landmark, from July 15th to July 19th. An Opening Night Gala will kick-off the festival on July 15th 6:00 p.m. with a red carpet event and the premiere film of “Open Road”, a film directed by Marcio Garcia starring Camilla Belle, Andy Garcia, Colin Egglesfield and John Savage. LABRFF will showcase over 40 independent films and major studio releases from Brazil, combining the best of features, shorts, documentaries, animation shorts as well as tribute screenings, a celebrity-filled red carpet and more. OUR MISSION: LABRFF’s mission is to support and facilitate the Brazilian audiovisual exhibition and distribution in the United States. Moreover stimulate new business opportunities in the film industry.
